My son Daniel and I attended a workshop that promised to teach us how to build our own business. When we got there, it was a multi-level marketing program that focused on building up our own image.
In Jeremiah 1, God says those who follow him will do some tearing down and some building up. If we’re building our own platform, we’re worried about what people think. If we’re working for God, we’ll follow him, forgetting our image.
I can build something of great value for God, and as it grows provide a meaningful life for more people who also want to build something of great value for God.
Concentrate on providing great eternal value rather than building a great organization or making yourself great. The organization God grows will be far superior to yours.
