While traveling home from St. Louis, Kathy and I stopped at a truck stop and ordered breakfast. After waiting 25 minutes for our food, Kathy stared at the food counter hungry and frustrated.

One of the other waitresses noticed Kathy’s stare and asked if she could help. After Kathy explained the situation, the waitress said, “You have an excellent waitress. She’s in the kitchen advocating for you.”

Later, the same waitress said, “Please know that your waitress did everything she could.” We were impressed with the team-centered mindset we experienced!

Romans 12:5 says, “In Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”

When we realize we work for the same team, it’s easier to look out for others and for the team.
