Partnerships can be a blessing or a curse. A couple I know had a choice. They could pay $35,000 for a franchise and start a store from scratch or they could partner with an existing franchise owner and open a satellite location for only $5,000.
Their potential partner was my concern. The existing franchise owner didn’t have a faith in God so I recommended they pass on that possibility.
The Apostle Paul urged in 2 Corinthians 6:14, “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?”
Being bound legally with an unbeliever, or someone who says they believe but doesn’t act like it, will eventually bring opportunities for compromising our faith. Save yourself some heartache, heed Paul’s advice!
