The biggest hurdle in advancing the Faith at Work Movement has oftentimes been the church. Historically, many pastors have had a flawed theological view of work.
I suspect that many believed they had a calling, but doubted anyone else was called to the workplace. Fortunately, there is some exciting movement forward.
A study sponsored by Le Tourneau University found that in 2011 that only 26% of pastors said their sermons addressed faith at work. In 2014, however, this number had grown to 86%!
Ephesians 2:10 teaches, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”
Your work is important to God! If your pastor has begun talking about work, thank them for advancing your calling!
