Dr. Richard Blackaby shared with our Des Moines members a time when his father, Henry, was speaking to a group of Fortune 500 CEOs. Henry challenged each of them to carve out what he called unhurried time with God.
One CEO interjected, “Henry, that’s not likely, you have no idea how busy we are.” Henry reportedly said, “Well, you have no idea who you are meeting with. If you did, you would make time.”
Three months later, this CEO reported back. After spending unhurried time with God, he discovered that his days were far more fruitful than ever before!
Psalm 138:4 says, “All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O Lord, for they have heard the words of your mouth.”
God is worthy of our unhurried time.
