As I’ve read with interest about the questionable actions of Sam Bankman-Fried, and the demise of FTX, I marvel at the level of corruption involved. Moral failures can impact so many lives.
When we see someone in business who has a moral failure, the most dangerous thought we can have is, “I’m a good person. That would never happen to me.” We are all just one bad decision away from disaster.
When someone called Jesus good, in Luke 18:19, He said, “‘Why do you call me good?’ “No one is good—except God alone.”
It’s hard to admit that we each have evil lurking within us. Our only hope for being good enough for heaven is to have true faith in Jesus Christ who grants us His righteousness.
