Our personal strengths, when overused, can also become weaknesses. Taking anything to the extremes can end poorly.
Over the years, I’ve been told at times that listening and observing is a strength of mine. This strength can have the benefit of others feeling heard.
But I also know that when I only listen, and not engage, others find it difficult to connect with me. Occasionally, I’ve been told that others can’t “read” what I’m thinking or feeling.
In Christ, our weaknesses can be redeemed.
2 Corinthians 12:9 teaches, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.”
Leverage your strengths, but, turn to Christ to redeem your weaknesses.
