We appreciate the opportunity to serve you through our online and live events. To better serve you, we have provided answers to the most commonly asked questions regarding events, registrations, and refunds.

I couldn’t make it to the event I registered for. Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, all event sales are final. If extreme circumstances prevent you from attending the event you registered for, contact the UBN office as soon as possible to discuss exchanging your registration for a different event. We reserve the right to deny any request for refund or exchange.

What happens if a speaker cancels or changes?

While we hope this doesn’t happen, we cannot control our speakers’ schedules. Therefore, event speakers are subject to change without prior notice and a change of speaker is not cause for a refund. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause but assure you we prayerfully and carefully select quality speakers–even in the event of a last-minute change–and believe you will be satisfied with the level of presentation of every speaker we select.

Can I get a refund if there is bad weather?

We only wish we could control the weather, but obviously this also falls in the category of something we cannot control. Thus, inclement weather is not a cause for refund unless the event is actually cancelled. In the event of inclement weather, the status of the scheduled event will be noted on the homepage of

Can I promote my business at the event?

Yes and no. At some of our live events we have a time set aside specifically for networking. Often, people exchange business cards and promote their companies this way. However, we do not allow individual companies to hand out materials such as brochures or business cards.

Can I record the event to share with my employees?

Capturing any portion of an Unconventional Business Network event by camera, audio, or video recording equipment is prohibited. All images, audio, as well as a video recording will be available online following the event.

What’s the dress code?

While these are professional events, we suggest anything from business casual to suits.

Is there anything else I need to know?

Yes, we want every participant and guest to know that by registering for an Unconventional Business Network event, you authorize and consent to the use of your visual image by the Unconventional Business Network for appropriate purposes, including but not limited to: still photography, videotape, electronic and print publications, and websites. Furthermore, you give this consent with no claim for payment.
