After a brief stint at a Bible college\, Phil struck out on his own\, looking for a way to integrate his faith with his filmmaking. \nThis quest led him to a tomato and a cucumber. The year was 1991\, and Phil was a newly married 25 year-old with no financial backing and no idea how his vegetables would ever see the light of day. \nToday\, almost 50 million VeggieTales videos have been purchased and Phil’s faith- filled stories can be found in one-third of all American homes with young children. Although Phil’s original company\, Big Idea Productions\, collapsed in bankruptcy in 2003\, Phil continues his creative involvement with VeggieTales through its current owner. \nPhil captured the breathtaking rise – and heartbreaking fall – of Big Idea Productions in the book Me\, Myself & Bob\, which was published by Thomas Nelson. He is also the author of the popular children’s books Sidney and Norman and 47 Beavers on the Big Blue Sea. \nPhil’s latest project is a 13-DVD series called Buck Denver Asks What’s in the Bible? that will take families all the way through the Bible – Genesis to Revelation. He also started JellyTelly\, an interactive\, online “mini-network” for children. \nPhil lives with his wife Lisa and their three kids in Wheaton\, IL. \nDownload the event flyer

SUMMARY:Unconventional Business Luncheon with Jim Daly
DESCRIPTION:Jim Daly is president of Focus on the Family and host of the daily broadcast\, heard by more than 6.3 million listeners a week on more than 1\,000 radio stations across the U.S. The show was honored as 2012 Program of the Year by the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB).\nDaly’s personal journey from orphan to head of an international Christian organization dedicated to helping families thrive is a powerful story. Abandoned by his alcoholic father at age 5\, he lost his mother to cancer four years later – a wound deepened when his grieving stepfather emptied the family home and left Daly\, the youngest of five children\, and his siblings to fend for themselves after their mother’s funeral. \nSeveral tough years followed\, including time in foster care\, before Daly became a Christian in high school and found meaning\, purpose and a sense of belonging. \n“I am living proof\,” he wrote in his 2007 autobiography\, “Finding Home\,” “that no matter how torn up the road has already been\, or how pothole-infested it may look ahead\, nothing – nothing – is impossible for God.” \nDaly was named president of Focus on the Family in 2005 after 16 years with the ministry. Under his leadership\, the organization has taken on a major role nationally in encouraging and helping facilitate foster-care adoptions\, earning recognition from the White House and Congress for its efforts. The ministry also has reinvigorated its traditional focus on helping couples build strong marriages and raise healthy\, resilient kids. In just the last 12 months\, with the help of Focus on the Family\, research indicates that 770\,000 couples have built stronger marriages and 870\,000 moms and dads built stronger\, healthier and more God-honoring families. \nDaly started his career at Focus in 1989 as an assistant to the president\, fostering relationships with the ministry’s supporters. He was appointed international field director for Asia\, Africa and Australia in 1992\, and in 1997 was promoted to vice president of the International Division. In 2004\, Daly was appointed chief operating officer\, the role he held until he was handpicked by Focus on the Family founder Dr. James Dobson to be the group’s president. \nDaly graduated from California State University\, San Bernardino\, in 1984 with a B.S. in Business Administration. During his senior year\, he attended Waseda University in Tokyo\, and after graduating worked for a Fortune 500 company. In 1997\, he completed his MBA in International Business at Regis University in Denver. In 2009\, he received an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from Colorado Christian University in Denver.\nDaly has received the 2008 World Children’s Center Humanitarian Award\, the 2009 Children’s Hunger Fund Children’s Champion Award\, and the 2010 HomeWord Family Ministry Award. He has appeared on such television programs as “Fox & Friends\,” “America Live with Megyn Kelly\,” “ABC World News Tonight” and PBS’ “Religion & Ethics”; and been featured in Time\, The Wall Street Journal\, The New York Times\, The Washington Post\, USA Today and Newsweek\, which named him one of the Top 10 next-generation evangelical leaders of influence. He was also the subject of a July 2011 cover story in Christianity Today. \nDaly is an author whose book\, “ReFOCUS: Living a Life That Reflects God’s Heart\,” explores how to engage the culture for Christ in a compassionate and winsome way. In 2014\, he wrote “The Good Dad\,” which looks at how dads can become better fathers regardless of their background or the parenting mistakes they’ve made. In his latest book\, “Marriage Done Right: One Man\, One Woman\,” Daly examines God’s purposes for marriage\, including the unique benefits that a mom and a dad bring to the partnership of raising children. \nDaly has been married to his wife\, Jean\, since 1986. They have two sons and are currently parenting two children in foster care. They reside in Colorado Springs\, Colorado. \nHe will inspire and provide practical wisdom on how to “Honor Your Family In Your Work” \nDownload the Event Flyer

SUMMARY:Unconventional Business Luncheon with Phil Vischer
DESCRIPTION:You do not want to miss this incredibly entertaining storyteller and creator of VeggieTales\, Phil Vischer. He made his first animated film when he was nine years old; by the age of fourteen\, he was convinced he would be a filmmaker when he grew up.

SUMMARY:Unconventional Business Luncheon with the Benham Brothers
DESCRIPTION:The Benham Brothers\, identical twins\, David Benham and Jason Benham\, are former professional baseball players\, best selling authors\, speakers\, and nationally acclaimed entrepreneurs. Their rise to success earned them a reality show with HGTV that was set to air in the fall of 2014- yet the show was cancelled because of their commitment to biblical values. \nThey started using biblical values for their real estate business in 2002. They found it to be a tough business to get off the ground\, especially fresh out of baseball with no real estate experience. This forced them to their knees to simply ask God to bless the work of their hands as they applied His life principles to the marketplace. \nWithin 10 years their real estate company topped dozens of business charts\, including: Inc Magazine\, Entrepreneur Magazine\, Wall Street Journal\, Ernst & Young\, and the US Chamber of Commerce. \nThey have appeared on Fox News\, ESPN\, CNN\, Fox Business\,  ABC’s Nightline and Good Morning America. \nThey have authored two books\, Whatever the Cost and Living Among Lions and today they run BENHAM Real Estate Group. \nThe brothers live in Charlotte\, NC. David is married to Lori with five children\, with Jason is married to Tori with four children. \nAlthough they had no formal business training\, they were armed with a core set of life principles that paved the way to success the “Unconventional Business” way! \n\nDownload the Event Flyer

SUMMARY:Unconventional Business Dinner with Alan Robertson
DESCRIPTION:To kick off 2017 we are hosting a very special Unconventional Business dinner with Alan Robertson from Duck Dynasty! \nAlan is the oldest son of The Duck Commander. He grew up hunting and fishing and helped build the foundation of the family business in the ’70s and ’80s. Back in the day\, he and Phil would travel around Louisiana and Arkansas selling duck calls to stores right out of their truck. The sales pitch back then was the same as it is today: “These calls are the best ’cause they sound just like a duck!” \nRecently\, Alan has returned to the family business after serving in full-time ministry for more than 25 years. Alan plays a vital role in the family’s commitment to spreading the gospel of Christ through their love of hunting and the great outdoors. The only Robertson without a beard\, he calls himself a “Jacob” in a family of “Esaus.” \nAlan and his wife\, Lisa\, are parents of two grown daughters who are married to bearded men. Alan and Lisa are proud grandparents to two granddaughters and a grandson on the way. They all live in West Monroe\, Louisiana. \nAlan will share 25 years of practical insight on how to use time tested and proven principles\, found only in the Bible\, to successfully lead an Unconventional Business in a conventional business world. \nDownload the Event Flyer \n

SUMMARY:Luncheon with Jason Dellinger
DESCRIPTION:After playing Division 1 baseball at Liberty University\, Jason Dellinger served on staff at McGregor Baptist Church in Fort Myers\, Florida for 4 years. He then took his talents to the marketplace in 2004\, and\, in just a few short years the same timing\, skill\, and determination he had as an athlete landed him among the top insurance agents in his national company by 2006. \nAnd that’s when his life took an interesting turn. Jason was told by his executives to remove from his voicemail the words\, “Jesus loves you” or lose his job. He refused to bow and it cost him everything he had. His story will challenge and motivate you to serve Jesus whatever the cost–and to never separate your faith from the workplace. \nA gifted motivational speaker and bold witness for Christ\, Jason Dellinger will show you don’t have to just survive in today’s faith-hostile environment but you can thrive! “The wicked man flees when no one pursues but the righteous are bold as a lion.” (Proverbs 28:1). \nJason lives in Charlotte\, North Carolina and is happily married to his wife\, Kathleen\, and is a father to six children! They are passionate about the unborn and are strong pro-life advocates. \nDownload the Event Flyer
