Marketing Specialist

Unconventional Business Network is hiring a part-time Marketing Specialist. Our Marketing Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the marketing and events teams via diverse campaigns, initiatives and events.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, including new product launches, across various channels
  • Write, edit, maintain copy for various marketing initiatives including print, digital, media
  • Manage social media accounts including content creation, engagement and analytics; follow and engage with relevant accounts, fostering relationships and grow our following
  • Monitor and maintain UBN’s image, brand and messaging for consistency
  • Ensure regular updates of blogs and content on website, including links, meta descriptions, SEO optimization, etc.
  • Support events and conferences including logistics, marketing, sponsorships, speakers; coordination, management, execution and follow-up
  • Monitor ongoing advertising campaigns, tracking impressions and conversions; conduct post-campaign and event analysis and contribute to next steps
  • Update, maintain marketing database via CRM to support targeted marketing campaigns
  • Eye for visually capturing and appealing graphics for collateral, web, social, etc.
  • Conduct, analyze market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, insights and opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1 – 3 years proven experience as Marketing Assistant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles and best practices
  • Skilled in social media marketing
  • Experience in various forms of copywriting
  • Prior conference and events experience (organizing, managing, executing)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to meet multiple, tight deadlines

Advantages:

  • Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CRM (GrowthZone, Hubspot, Marketo, etc.) proficiency
  • Graphic design experience
  • Google Ads + Analytics knowledge
  • Skilled in WordPress, Joomla, Drupal or other CMS

Marketing Internship

Unconventional Business Network is hiring a part-time Marketing Intern. Our Marketing Intern will play a vital role in supporting the marketing department in various tasks and projects. Gain hands-on experience, plus invaluable skills to jump start your career in Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including new product launches, across multiple channels (digital, print, media)
  • Assist in writing, editing and proofing of various forms of promotional copy
  • Collaborate with marketing team to create and update marketing collateral
  • Monitor and maintain UBN’s image, brand and messaging for consistency
  • Update and maintain marketing database to support targeted marketing campaigns
  • Assist in managing social media accounts and analyzing performance metrics
  • Help maintain and update company website with continuous UX improvements
  • Conduct market research on customers to support marketing initiatives, plus competitors and trends to identify new opportunities
  • Aid in planning, coordination and support of events and conferences
  • Provide administrative support to Marketing department as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled, majoring in marketing, communications, journalism or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Volunteer Opportunities:

Workflow Optimization – we are looking for someone who can review our customer journey processes, identifying the gaps and inefficiencies, and helping design and automate workflows that allows customers to be better served and staff to be more efficient. Bookkeeping assistance – we need someone familiar with Quickbooks who can enter deposits, accounts payable, invoice clients, and reconcile bank accounts. Estimated 5-10 hours a week. Email volunteers@unconventionalbusiness.org for more information.

Forum Leaders – we are looking for volunteer group facilitators to lead our monthly Forum meetings. These meetings have a great impact on the lives of business leaders. Typically, over a breakfast or lunch time in a local conference room, these meetings provide video training, discussion time, and networking to help business leaders better integrate their faith and the Bible into their work.
